CVG Poker Champions fight back
The CVG Poker Champions win the 17th round and look set to fight back for the coveted lead position in the league. The next 4 rounds promise to be an exciting showdown between the Poker Champions and the Red Aces.
Wednesday´s 17th round of the English 1st eSport-Poker league saw the CVG Poker Champions fighting hard to recover the coveted lead position, stolen from them by the Red Aces in the 10th round. The Champions performed disastrously on two tables but won the other three, stealing the first position in this round with 91 player points. On the other hand, the Red Aces’ performance was more evenly distributed on all tables. However, this was only enough to get them 81 player points and the third position in this round.
The Red Aces` lead of 25 points over the CVG Poker Champions has now been reduced to 12 points, and it looks like the next 3 rounds will be an exciting showdown between the two teams.
Second in the round were the players from Gamesradar All in, who scored a total of 87 points on the 5 tables. Even though the team remains in 7th position, it is now only 4 points away from overtaking Techradar Calling United, who finished this round in 5th place and has a total of 212 team points in the league table.
The Royal Flush Poker Team is still in 3rd place with 269 team points. The Bikeradar Kings of Poker and PuntersLounge scored 9 team points and 8 team points respectively in this round, meaning that the Kings of Poker in 4th position still enjoy a strong lead of 33 points over the Loungers in 5th position.
